PRIVACY POLICY & TERMS OF SERVICE

Last Updated: May 17, 2026

Welcome to GPS Emulator – Fake Location ("the Application"). We are dedicated to providing a professional, secure, and transparent location-emulation utility. Below you will find our complete Privacy Policy, required permissions, developer disclaimers, and Terms of Service. You can easily copy and paste this entire text to your privacy policy website or Google Play Console submission console.

SECTION 1: PRIVACY POLICY

We hold your privacy in the highest regard. Unlike conventional location-based applications, this Application does not collect, monitor, harvest, or transmit any user coordinates or personal information to external servers or third-party databases.

1. Data Processing & Security

  • Real-time Local Processing: All mock coordinates, map search queries, and route simulations are processed locally on your device in real-time. Emulated coordinates are sent directly to the local Android Mock Location framework.
  • Local SQLite Database: Any location pins saved as "Favorites" or registered in your "History" tab are stored securely inside a private, local SQLite database on your device (utilizing the Android Room architecture). No remote storage is used. All local data is permanently wiped when you uninstall the app or clear its cache.
  • No Server Footprint: We do not maintain any external servers. Your location emulations are entirely confidential to your device.

2. Device Permissions Required & Purpose

To load map graphics, search coordinates, and emulated routes, the Application requests the following system permissions. We declare these transparently in accordance with Google Play developer policies:

  • INTERNET: Necessary to load Google Maps tiles and resolve geographic address search queries to coordinate positions. No private user identifiers are sent.
  • ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: Required to query and display your active coordinates on the map interface prior to starting emulation, ensuring smooth camera centering.
  • ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION: Lower-resolution fallback for rough current position centering on the map.
  • ACCESS_MOCK_LOCATION: Required to register this software utility with the Android operating system's developer mock location framework.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE: Required to keep the coordinate mock service active in the background while you open and test other applications.
  • FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION: Required to specify that the background mock service handles location-emulation tasks safely.
  • SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW: Used to display floating emulation control windows on top of other QA applications during active simulations.

SECTION 2: DEVELOPER & QA DISCLAIMER

1. Intended Development & Emulation Use

This Application is engineered exclusively as a professional software development and Quality Assurance (QA) utility. It is designed to assist software developers, quality assurance testers, and mobile security researchers to simulate coordinates, validate geofencing rules, and verify location-dependent behaviors in a controlled sandbox environment.

2. Mock Provider Designation

To initiate location emulations, you must enable "Developer Options" on your Android device and manually select GPS Emulator – Fake Location as the active Mock Location App in your device's developer settings.

SECTION 3: TERMS OF SERVICE

By installing, downloading, or using the Application, you explicitly agree to the following terms and usage conditions:

1. User Responsibility & Boundaries

  • You agree to restrict the use of this emulation utility strictly to authorized developer sandboxes and debugging environments.
  • You represent that you will not employ this location mock utility for any deceptive, illegal, or policy-violating activities.
  • You agree not to utilize the app to bypass geolocation validation in commercial apps, manipulate ride-sharing and delivery tracking, or gain an unfair advantage in location-based mobile games.

2. Disclaimer of Warranties & No Liability

  • As-Is Provision: The Application is provided "as-is" without any express or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
  • No Liability: In no event shall the developers or providers of this Application be held liable or responsible, directly or indirectly, for any account limitations, device restrictions, third-party service limitations, or structural system warnings arising from your use or misuse of this software.
  • Indemnification: You agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developers of the Application from and against any third-party claims, legal disputes, damages, or operating costs resulting from your violation of these Terms.

3. Contact & Agreement

If you do not accept these compliance terms, you must immediately select "Decline" inside the app's Developer Disclaimer popup and uninstall this utility.

All Google Maps API integrations and Android mock framework implementations fully adhere to Google’s Developer Program Policies.
