🚀 Our Promise: We believe in absolute privacy. WiFi Lab operates entirely on your device. We do not track you, we do not require an account, and your network data never leaves your phone.

1. Information We Collect (Or Rather, Don't)

WiFi Lab: Wifi Analyzer does not collect, store, or share any personal data. We do not use analytics trackers, crash reporters, or third-party advertising SDKs that gather your information.

2. Why We Need Certain Permissions

To provide you with powerful network tools, our app requests specific Android permissions. Here is exactly why we need them and how they are used:

  • Location Permission: Required by the Android operating system to scan for nearby WiFi networks (SSID/BSSID) and measure signal strengths. We do not track your physical location or GPS coordinates.
  • Internet Access: Required strictly to perform Internet Speed Tests (connecting to our speed test servers like Cloudflare).
  • Display Over Other Apps (Optional): Required only if you enable the Floating Speed Monitor, allowing the live speed tracker to overlay on your screen.

3. Local Processing

All network analysis, signal charting, and password generation happen locally on your device's hardware. Your connected network name (SSID), router MAC address (BSSID), and generated passwords are never transmitted to our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

During a speed test, the app connects to third-party speed test servers (such as Cloudflare) to accurately measure your download and upload bandwidth. These servers receive your IP address solely for the purpose of routing the test traffic, which is a fundamental requirement of how the internet works.

5. Children's Privacy

Our application is safe for all ages. Since we do not collect personal information, we inherently do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
